Warning: Potential Spoilers Ahead! As someone who at this point is quite familiar with Luke Cooper due to years of exposure, I have to ask myself… What in the fuck did I just read here!? And I ask that with no negativity whatsoever as this is practically what Fight Club (I know, I know, we […]

Cyberarchy – Vol. 1
Warning: Potential Spoilers Ahead I want to start this off by saying that I think Rust (one of the mains of this here story) is one of the most scariest characters I’ve ever come across. This is a Robot who will stand by and discuss automated systems like its just another day at the office […]
For The Hammer We Puke!
Warning: Potential Spoilers Ahead When I was sent this book I knew I had to check it out as it felt like it was right up my alley and sure enough I was right. To the point that once I started reading, I found myself thinking ‘Hey, this could be Howard The Duck’s homeworld!’ and […]
Primos Vol. 1
Warning: Potential Spoilers Ahead So for awhile now I’ve been wanting to read something from AWA but just never had a chance too until I had a little extra money and happened to see Al Madrigal/Felipe Flores/AWA Upshot’s first volume of Primos on TikTok. The summary got me hooked and so after a few days’ […]
Diplomacy Is A Lost Key
Warning: Potential Spoilers Ahead When I got the email sometime ago for HLHKIS and saw the concept for what the story is about, I thought it sounded fun. The kind of fun I would enjoy and fast forward to now after reading the GN and to a point, I did enjoy it. As how often […]
The Spawn Who Came To Gunsling
I did not know Spawn still walked the earth. I thought he had gone the way of Saturday morning cartoons and video store carpets, sealed up with dust and memory. Then I learned a new generation had arrived. Born, schooled, credentialed, and voter-registered, all with the chance to meet Spawn for the first time. The […]
Renfield Pest Control (One-Shot)
Warning: Potential Spoilers Ahead Well now, its been a few (2022) years since I last read anything from Chuck Suffel and it seems only appropriate that I would read something of his again with October now here and Halloween almost upon us. Renfield Pest Control is the story of young Lucas, a kid that’s stuck […]
Tectiv: Noirtopia Vol. 1 – Advanced Review
Warning: Potential Spoilers Ahead Typically when it comes to Post-Apocalyptic stories, you tend to see certain things with them; struggles to survive, new forms of society, all that jazz. But you don’t typically see Detective Noir themes in Post-Apocalyptic stories unless I’ve just not been paying enough attention. But Mad Cave’s Maverick imprint is doing […]
Blu Lullaby – TPB
To start off with, my only regret with this book from Chad Perkins and Andrea Montano is that I didn’t read it much sooner. Like way back in 2022 sooner but as the saying goes… Better late than never. So… What do you get when you mix the Horror, Crime, and Detective genres into one […]
Hunt. Kill. Repeat – TPB – (Advanced Review!)
Warning: Potential Spoilers Ahead As you all may remember, I covered the first issue of this trade last year towards the end of December, and now, here we are once again talking about this book. And pretty much towards close to the end of the year as well. Interestingly enough to keep going with the […]
